Installation of Trunk Water Mains in 8th Avenue

For the New York City Department of Design and Construction and Waterworks JV – MED609(610) , MFM Contracting installed approximately 1,800 LF of 36” welded steel water main in the historic West Village connecting to shaft 27B. The water main work also included the installation of 36” flow meters, 36” butterfly valves, 24” regulator valves, blow-offs, air cock hydrants and their appurtenant chambers.

MFM also performed extensive private utility relocation and capital work in conjunction with the water main installation.
